St. Anthony of Padua Mission is the Home of Traditional Catholicism in North Jersey. We are the faithful of the parish that was founded by the late Father Paul Wickens. St. Anthony of Padua, Hammer of Heretics, we beseech thee to intercede for us. Help us to restore the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Roman Catholic Church and Traditional Latin Mass.

Father Paul Wickens expresses his desire for his parish to affiliate with the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) upon his death.

The background audio clip* is from an interview with Father Paul Wickens. Father Paul Wickens explains his parish's links to the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), and explains how he wished for that continuity to be maintained upon his death, by turning over the assets of St. Anthony's in West Orange to the Society.  *Background audio will play twice.

** Unlike other recordings you may have heard, this one is clear, audible, and contains no inexplicable gaps or cracks. **

Transcript:

Interviewer: Eventually you're going to die — all men are mortal — doesn't that place you in a strange position? Are you going to be "sterilized" as it were, spiritually speaking? You see the need, therefore, somehow to link up with a bishop?

Father Paul Wickens: Well, yeah. I — we're kind of linked up with Archbishop Lefebvre's Society of Pius the Tenth. Our children were bused out to Long Island, and Bishop Williamson confirmed them — twenty of them, last time he was around, something like that. So we are connected with that, and, I hope to, if I get around to it, is turning over any assets from our soci– from our parish, you know, upon my demise [chuckles] to the Society, so there would be a continuity.
